Privacy Policy
This Privacy Policy explains how ListGenie AI ("we", "us", "the Extension") handles your data. We've designed ListGenie to collect the absolute minimum data necessary to deliver our service.
1. What data we collect
ListGenie is a privacy-first Chrome extension. We do NOT operate a backend server that stores user data. All data created or used by the Extension is stored locally on your device via Chrome's storage.local API.
Locally stored data includes:
- Your Claude API key (so the Extension can call the Claude API on your behalf)
- Your usage count (for free tier tracking)
- Your settings and preferences
We do not collect, transmit, or store: your photos, your generated listings, your account information, your IP address, your browsing history, or any analytics data.
2. Third-party services
When you click "Generate Listing", the Extension sends your photo and prompt directly to Anthropic's Claude API using the API key you provide. This communication happens directly from your browser to Anthropic's servers. We never see or store the photos or generated content.

3. Permissions explained
The Extension requests these Chrome permissions:
- storage: To save your API key and settings locally
- activeTab: To inject the listing generator UI on supported marketplace pages
- Host permissions (eBay, Poshmark, Mercari, Anthropic API): To run on those specific sites only
4. Payments
If you upgrade to a paid plan (Pro or Team), payments are processed by Stripe. We do not see or store your payment details. See Stripe's privacy policy at https://stripe.com/privacy.
5. Children's privacy
ListGenie is not intended for users under 13. We do not knowingly collect data from children.
6. Your rights
Because we do not collect or store data on our servers, there is no data to access, export, or delete on our side. To delete all ListGenie data from your device, simply uninstall the Extension or use Chrome's "Clear extension data" option.
7. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. The "Last updated" date at the top of this page reflects the most recent change.
